So I have been listening to my new prayer worship CD thing for the past couple of days. I listened to the first five songs yesterday and the last five today. I am not a huge music fan so I was kind of feeling that trying this new way to get closer to God wasn't working all too great... and as soon as I thought that the very last song started playing and I ended up replaying it three times it was so powerful. The song is called "Closer To You" By: Mark Schultz. I sadly couldn't find it on YouTube to put a video of it up, but hopefully I will be creating one shortly when I get more free time for you guys.
This part of the song really got to me
"Let the rain start falling where it will.
I will run through this valley, just to climb to that hill.
If they ask why I'm dancing though my days may be few.
It's cos I'm just a day closer to You."

If we went to the doctor today and they told us we only had a few weeks to live what do you think we would do? I honestly have no idea what I would do, but before I heard this song I am pretty sure I can guarantee I would not be excited about it at all, and I'm pretty sure I would not have thought about another day closer to my death is another day closer to Christ.
Then I started thinking about how literally, every day is a day closer to God. We are all dying and we WILL die at one point unless God pulls an Enoch or Elijah on us (Which would be pretty beast). So that means tomorrow will be another day closer to Christ, now we can choose how we are to live tomorrow.... Will we dance and sing or will we let the pressure of this world get us down?
The choice is up to you
